I like to post pictures of pineapples. They are awesome. Sometimes I post other pictures, But mostly its just pineapples. I also really like to rap all the time. I write rhymes like crazy though. Also I really like to lie about myself in descriptions.

Even children, tagging after their parents. And in every hand there was a chunk of wood or a knife.
His reaction was automatic, instantaneous, inbred. He whirled on his heels while his hands pulled the guns
from their holsters, the hafts heavy and sure in his hands. It was Allie, and of course it had to be Allie,
coming at him with her face distorted, the scar a hellish purple in the lowering light He saw that she was
held hostage; the distorted, grimacing face of Sheb peered over her shoulder like a witch’s familiar. She
was his shield and sacrifice. He saw it all, clear and shadowless in the frozen deathless light of the sterile
calm, and heard her:
“He’s got me O Jesus don’t shoot don’t don’t don’t — ”
But the hands were trained. He was the last of his breed and it was not only his mouth that knew the High
Speech. The guns beat their heavy, atonal music into the air. Her mouth flapped and she sagged and the
guns fired again.

I had a sudden realization around 12:30 am that I thought I would share with a friend(http://mechanicalspiral.tumblr.com) of mine. Here is how that went.

[12:24:34 AM] Richard: how?

Thing is… Microsoft really isn’t approaching it the same way Valve did. When you market a device a certain way, it’s usually because you want to focus on that certain direction or aspect of the device. Steam focused on on the ability to access your games in gamer-friendly terms, and now enjoys a huge portion of the online gaming market. Sure, it’s a closed-market system- but we don’t care, because we trust Valve and what they produce in their products. We don’t expect them to screw us over, because we’ve given them the keys to the kingdom and they have done good things with them.

However…

Hi! You wrote a lengthy response to my Microsoft post, so I thought you deserved a reply.

With my realization about the Xbox one I am in no way saying that it is a good thing to do with a console. I am just giving a different point of view to the Xbox one, rather than all the bashing that is going on. I feel the One is trying to be steam with the way the console is going with its take your library where ever you can take your profile type stuff. Which, on paper it does sound dumb, like what most people thought the steam was like back when it launched.  It was not very well liked way back when.

But, like how Steam is now, so many people like it and it does very well for the PC market in selling games. If MS can pull it off correctly it can be a great platform and maybe you can get very nice deals from XBL store like how steam has its massive sales. Hell, just about every time a steam sale rolls around I cant help myself from purchasing like three or four games.

Though, this is not enough to entice me to purchase the Xbox one on its own. I kinda feel that I would like to stay out of this console cycle and play more PC games. But, PC gaming cant press further without the new cycle of consoles. Also, I wanna offer another point of view to the Xbox that others may not be thinking about. Instead of all the bashing it has been getting as of late.

P.S. I agree Gunpoint is an excellent game.

[12:24:34 AM] Richard: how?
[12:24:55 AM] Jay: I realized that the Xbox one is trying to be steam.
[12:25:33 AM] Jay: its the same shit steam took way back when
[12:25:43 AM] Jay: Oh its DRM no one will adopt blah blah blah
[12:25:53 AM] Jay: But its become the sub-standard for PC games now
[12:25:59 AM] Jay: microsoft wants you to do the same thing
[12:26:01 AM] Jay: on a console
[12:26:09 AM] Jay: take your library to any console
[12:26:17 AM] Jay: like steam lets you take your library to any pc
[12:26:43 AM] Richard: which isnt a bad idea
[12:26:53 AM] Jay: If this is right in theory
[12:26:55 AM] Richard: they are just going about it the wrong way
[12:27:03 AM] Jay: Well
[12:27:09 AM] Jay: they are going about it the same way steam did
[12:27:22 AM] Richard: so do you think its smart?
[12:27:27 AM] Jay: I like steam
[12:27:34 AM] Jay: I like the idea of it
[12:27:45 AM] Jay: plus, this means MS can have deals like steam
[12:28:04 AM] Jay: cause steam has no used market they can ask AAA devs to mark their games down for huge sales
[12:28:13 AM] Jay: Microsoft is probably trying to do the same thing
[12:28:22 AM] Richard: i didnt see it that way
[12:28:29 AM] Jay: Now you do
